SHOCK EXECUTION OF 2 POLITICAL PRISONERS IN IRAN

In an attempt to intimidate people and prevent more protests, Iran executed Arash Rahmani Pour (20) and Mohammad Reza Ali Zamani yesterday.

Arash Rahmani Pour and Mohammad Reza Ali Zamani were arrested well before the elections but went on a mass trial with those arrested in the protests.

Their lawyers and the family were not informed of the execution and were not present.

Ms. Sotudeh, their lawyer said, Arash Rahmanipour was forced to confess when his pregnant sister was kept in prison for two months and ultimately lost her baby.

11 more are in imminent danger of execution on similarly false charges.

AHMAD SHAMLOU - THE FINAL WORD
